Architect by trade and photographer by dedication, I have embraced both disciplines as inseparable, both informing and defining a certain visual reading of urban societies and the spaces that permeate them.

The images collected in this gallery are the result of over 25 years of engagement with the city, both as a social, political and cultural territory.

Each image forms a corner between dream and reason, a dialogue between consequence and origin, an equivalent, a light impression, a window.

Each image is both consequence and origin.

Consequence of one thought and the origin of another, in perpetual exchange of signs, symbols and simulation.

 

The themes are all loosely interwoven essays, the accompanying texts serving as footnotes, a foothold onto the motives that frame and register a certain intention and not another.

​

The rest is left to the eye of the beholder. All valid and fair permutations welcomed. Any point of view carefully considered.

​

If these images deserve more than the quick glance, and the pause becomes interested focus and zoom, then part of their purpose has already been fulfilled.
